A man in South Carolina with a concealed carry license stopped a tragedy waiting to happen late Wednesday night. While at a nightclub called Playoffz in Lyman, South Carolina, a man opened fire towards a group of people situated outside the club. In response, an unnamed concealed weapon holder fired on the assailant and struck him in the leg. The shot stopped the gunman from firing at the innocent crowd.
“His rounds struck three victims, and almost struck a fourth victim, who in self-defense, pulled his own weapon and fired, striking Thompson in the leg,” said L.t. Kevin Bobo about the unfortunate situation. None of the wounds proved to be fatal.
After cops arrived, there was a lot of sorting out to do. Witnesses had to corroborate who was in the wrong and who was in the right. After getting testimonies, it was clear that Thompson intended to inflict fatal wounds on a group of innocent people. Luckily for the clubbers, a responsible and brave gun owner stopped what could’ve been a terrible situation.
